The General Meeting of the Socialists will be on May 24th

The General Meeting of the Socialist Party of Iceland will be held on Saturday, May 24th, in Vorstjarnan - Alþýðuhús at Bolholt 6. The meeting will be accessible on Zoom for those who cannot attend in person.

The agenda for the meeting is as follows, according to the association's statutes: 1. Election of a meeting chair and secretary. 2. Report of the Executive Board (Framkvæmdastjórn) presented. 3. Accounts presented for approval. 4. Amendments to the statutes. 5. Determination of membership fees. 6. Election of the Executive Board and other boards as stipulated in the Organization. 7. Other matters.

The agenda and arrangements for the meeting will be announced in more detail with the meeting invitation to members.

Draft proposals for amendments to the statutes must be sent out with the meeting invitation no later than two weeks before the meeting. Those who wish to submit amendments to the statutes must therefore send them to xj@xj no later than noon on Thursday, May 8th, to ensure that the proposals are included with the meeting invitation.

All members of the Socialist Party are eligible to vote in the board election, and members are encouraged to put themselves forward for positions.
