Annual General Meeting

Minutes of the Annual General Meeting of Sósíalistaflokkur Íslands (Sósíalistaþing).

Confidentiality Council

The Confidentiality Council performs the role of Samviska and handles confidentiality matters and disciplinary matters within the party.

Election Committee

The Election Committee manages the candidacy of Sósíalistaflokkurinn for Alþingi and local councils, and is responsible for selecting candidate lists using methods approved at a general meeting or a membership meeting, shapes election policy based on the party's policies, and conducts election campaigns for parliament and local councils. The Election Committee shall manage political discourse on the party's website, train the party's spokespersons, organize political meetings, and engage in discussions about the policies and priorities of Sósíalistaflokkurinn on a broad platform.

Executive Board

The Executive Board manages the party's laws, organization, and development, and handles all party matters not specified in the laws, organization, or resolutions of Sósíalistaþing as being the role of other boards or groups within the party. The Executive Board manages the random selection of Kjörnefnd and Samviska and supports the work of these groups. The Executive Board oversees the development of work within the party and intervenes if boards become dysfunctional, and ensures that their work complies with the party's laws, organization, and resolutions of Sósíalistaþing. The Executive Board manages the work of collaborative groups such as Umsjónarnefnd Sósíalistaþings, where chairpersons and secretaries of all boards have seats; Laga- og gagnanefnd, where secretaries of all boards sit; and Fjárhagsráð, which all treasurers appoint, in addition to people responsible for fundraising.

Málefnastjórn

To support the party's policy-making, Málefnastjórn operates, and it handles the implementation of policy-making work between Socialist Congresses and under their authority. Málefnastjórn appoints randomly selected groups of members ("Policy Groups") who prepare policy drafts in individual policy areas. Málefnastjórn shall support the work of the Policy Groups with advice and active support, and strives to ensure good working practices and quality outcomes from their work.
