June 2, 2021The Battle for Iceland: The Socialist Bus on its way north and east
The socialists' meeting tour around the country continues after successful meetings in Suðurnes, Akranes, Snæfellsnes, Patreksfjörður, Ísafjörður and Hólmavík.
There has been discussion about what the elections this autumn will be about. What is on people's minds across the country? And what offers will the socialists present to voters? The title of the meetings is The Battle for Iceland. Will the country become a haven for the wealthy or can the public gain power and build a good and beautiful society here?
The next meetings are these:

Friday, June 4:Meeting at 7 PM in the Community Center in Hvammstangi. See event on Facebook:The Battle for Iceland begins in Hvammstangi.
Saturday, June 5:Meeting at 12 PM in Sauðárkróksbakarí. At 3 PM, the socialists will then be in the hot tub at the swimming pool in Hofsós and then they will proceed to Ólafsfjörður where there are great celebrations for Seamen's Day.
Sunday, June 6:Meeting at 12 PM in Hof in Akureyri (see event on Facebook:The Battle for Iceland begins in Akureyri) and another meeting at 8 PM in the hall of the trade union Framsýn in Húsavík (see event on Facebook:The Battle for Iceland begins in Húsavík).
Monday, June 7:After a stay in Húsavík, they will head east to Kópasker, Raufarhöfn and Þórhöfn and talk to socialists and other residents.
Tuesday, June 8:A stop will be made in Bakkafjörður, a meeting will be held at Öldan in Vopnafjörður at noon and in Egilsstaðir in the evening (see event on Facebook:The Battle for Iceland begins in EgilsstaðirWednesday, June 9:Borgarfjörður eystri will be visited at noon and a meeting will be held in Neskaupsstaður in the evening.
Thursday, June 10:Seyðisfjörður will be visited at noon and a meeting will be held in Reyðarfjörður in the evening.
Friday, June 11:A meeting will be held in Fáskrúðsfjörður at noon and stops will be made in Stöðvarfjörður and Djúpivogur in the afternoon.
Saturday, June 12:A meeting will be held in Höfn at 11 AM and in Vík at 5 PM
Sunday, June 13:A meeting will be held at Hótel Selfoss at 1 PM
All socialists and other interested people in justice and equality are encouraged to attend the meetings or meet the socialist bus on its way around the country.
