Top seats in Suðvesturkjördæmi

A membership meeting of the Socialist Party of Iceland (Sósíalistaflokkur Íslands) unanimously approved today the 2nd and 3rd seats on the candidate list in Suðvesturkjördæmi

Margrét Pétursdóttir, a self-taught worker who has worked with children and the elderly and age groups in between. Margrét has done various volunteer work and been with people during the worst and best times of life and identified with most of them. She is a radical environmental activist and a member of nature conservation organizations and has worked with them in activism.

For the 3rd seat: Sara Stef Hildardóttir, a former journalist, librarian and information scientist, feminist and activist. She has held positions of trust for the Socialist Party, now as vice-chair of the Executive Board (Framkvæmdastjórn) and previously as treasurer.
