Lunchtime Protest No. 2: Lower the Bank Manager's Salary

The second lunchtime protest is called at the headquarters of Landsbankinn at 12:10 on Monday, February 18.

The Landsbankinn Board of Directors (Bankaráð Landsbankans), which is publicly owned, raised the bank manager's salary by 80%, so now she earns the equivalent of eleven bank tellers. The elite's self-serving actions are intolerable, the growing inequality in society is intolerable, it is intolerable that a small group can allocate themselves high salaries at the same time as others receive such low wages that they are not enough for their livelihood throughout the month.

Let's show solidarity and attend the lunchtime protest at Landsbankinn at Austurstræti 11, protest the decision of the Board of Directors and demand that the bank manager's salary be lowered again. Lower the bank manager's salary!

The protest starts at 12:10 and will end at 12:50. People can therefore slip away during their lunch break and spend it demanding justice.
