After the protest, another meeting will begin at Austurvöllur, protesting police violence against refugees and supporting the refugees' moderate demands for a hearing from the authorities, the right to work while their cases are being processed, and humane living conditions.

The demands of the refugees are: 1. No more deportations 2. Substantive review for all. Down with the Dublin Regulation 3. Right to work 4. Equal access to healthcare 5. Closure of the isolated refugee camps in Ásbrú
