Unchanged policy between governments

No fundamental policy change is to be found in the policy statement of the government of Samfylkingin, Viðreisn and Flokkur fólksins. When looking at the current policy and agreement of the outgoing government, it can be seen that it is more or less the same policy in housing affairs, public finances and foreign affairs. Sósíalistaflokkurinn reiterates the importance of making the state treasury's revenue generation fairer in order to support the changes that are needed in Icelandic society. The living standards of the nation's people will not solely be improved through solidarity on those tasks, as stated in the government's policy statement, but revenue needs to be generated from the very wealthiest into common funds in order to be able to offer improved living standards. Such is an absolute minimum so that a good society can be run and general welfare can be ensured in the country.
