Discussion on Judicial Matters 1

Last weekend, the Policy Board (Málefnastjórn) of the Socialist Party of Iceland (Sósíalistaflokkur Íslands) had 3 individuals discuss their views and experiences of Icelandic judicial matters.

This was done because a group of randomly selected socialists is now beginning work on drafting the party's policy on judicial matters.

First to speak was Ragnar Aðalsteinsson, a lawyer who is often called, among other things, "the father of human rights in Iceland"

He speaks here primarily about the access of the less fortunate to the judicial system and about legal aid.
