Sósíalistaflokkur Íslands prepares a candidacy for Alþingi.

A party meeting of Sósíalistaflokkur Íslands resolves to entrust the party's election committee with appointing an election campaign committee as soon as possible to prepare the party's candidacy for the next Alþingi elections.

The candidacy of Sósíalistaflokkurinn is necessary to bring the struggle for the interests and justice of the working class and other poor and oppressed groups onto the national agenda. The candidacy of Sósíalistaflokkurinn shall be put forward by the oppressed, the party's policy shall be the demands of the oppressed, and the party's election campaign shall aim to mobilize the oppressed for participation, uprising, and action.

Politics has failed the public and the common people. The common people themselves need to rise up and take power from the few. We are the many, and the power is ours. We will build a society based on our interests, our expectations, and our morality. We will not tolerate living within a society that was built to protect the power and wealth of a few.
