May 1, 2018Workers and advocates for the poor at the top of the Socialist Party's list
The Socialist Party's candidate lists for the municipal elections in Reykjavík and Kópavogur have been decided. They consist of activists for the interests of low-wage earners, tenants, disabled people, pensioners, the poor, and other groups who have been kept from power. The main message of the socialist candidacy is a demand that the less fortunate gain power, that Reykjavík and Kópavogur build housing until the housing crisis is resolved, and that the municipalities pay their staff decent wages.
