The Socialist Party of Iceland is a political party of the general public. The party's goal is to shape a free society based on equality, humanitarianism, and compassion. The way to achieve this goal is to give power to society.The Socialist Party of Iceland is the party of the working class and all who suffer from poverty, social marginalization, and humiliation. The opponents of the Socialist Party are the capitalist class and its functionaries. The domain of the Socialist Party of Iceland is the broadly understood class struggle, which rejects all compromises and false dialogue.In its actions, the Socialist Party of Iceland emphasizes what unites people: the injustice they experience and the will to put an end to it. All citizens, regardless of gender, origin, religion, or sexual orientation, can join the party.The Socialist Party of Iceland wants the development of society to be guided by the common good. For this reason, the general public must gain power not only over public institutions but also over the local community. The workplace, trade unions, school, neighborhood, district, village – all these units should be subject to egalitarian control, where the common good comes first.The main goals of the Socialist Party of Iceland's campaign are:

1. Dignified housing conditions for all citizens, regardless of whether they are wage earners, unemployed, pensioners, students, or professionally inactive.
2. Access to secure and affordable housing.
3. Access to free healthcare, free education at all levels, free social care tailored to individual needs.
4. Shortening the work week to improve people's quality of life and enable active participation in shaping society.
5. Changing the tax system, with attention to ensuring that the wealthy pay an adequate share of public expenses while reducing the burden on others.
